Music festivals

I fucking love the music festivals that go on every summer. They are just about to start this year and I cannot wait to go. Memphis in May begins soon and we are all going in one large group. This is one of my fucking favorite festivals out of all of them.¬†We have decided to camp instead of staying at a hotel since two of my friends have campers and the rest of us have tents to sleep in. I will take my tent, but since it is just me, I will probably not have to use it. That is fine, because I have some friends who don’t have a tent and they will more than likely use mine.

Camping will save us money on a lot of food and such. We can make breakfast each morning and dinner at night. The only food we will have to buy will be lunch where ever we happen to be at the time. Since the festival is about music and art and stuff, there is no telling where we might be. I am so stoked to be able to go this year, because last year I didn’t make it to this festival. I cannot wait!

Going out on the town

I am so going out on the fucking town. I need to party my ass off and get some stress relief. I love to dance and there is a dance floor a Cafe Iguana’s calling my name. I am going out to dinner first before we start drinking. I think Carrabba’s sounds like a good place to eat before hand. Then it’s off to the dance floor and lots of rum and cokes to cool me down between dancing. I know the DJ who works there and he always plays my favorite songs all night long. We used to date for a little while, but decided we were better as friends. I am glad about that because he is a great guy.

I still have to make phone calls to the girls and see who is going with me. I know for a fact that Sherrie is going to go, she always goes. We only do it about once a month, and she has kids so her hubby gives her the night off and lets her go blow off some steam. I think that is awesome. If I ever get married, that is the kind of man I want, an appreciative one who trusts and respects me.

Have you ever noticed that some of the best songs out there are about having a broken heart? I guess that a heartbreak is a universal thing that everyone experiences at least once in their life. I am jealous of anyone who never goes through a heartbreak. I am sure some people meet the love of their life at a young age, like high school sweethearts, and get married. I wonder what percentage of relationships have that happen? Seems to me that most of us are just stumbling around trying to find out way, looking for true love, and getting out hearts stomped on by the unworthy. Thus, a lot of good songs on the radio.
