Economic Situation Is Totally Fucked Up

November 16, 2012 // Posted in Future, Living, Money, People, Shopping, Travel (Tags: , , , , , , ) |  Comments Off on Economic Situation Is Totally Fucked Up

Today we toured a manufacturing plant that had been shut down by their home office and put up for sale. The building is fucking huge and was used to mill cotton. Since the southern states produce an incredible amount of cotton, it made sense years ago to locate the mills close to where the raw materials were produced. However, the rising cost of American labor is the reason the company shut down this plant.

One of the big distractions for a new buyer interested in this former cotton mill property is that all the mill equipment was left sitting on the production floor. This shit is massive and had to be incredibly expensive to put into place. It is large, heavy and complicated to configure and maintain. Supposedly there is not much of a market for used equipment like this. It find it strange that the company found it cheaper and easier to buy brand fucking new equipment for the new plant facility they built in Mexico than to break down and move this shit to the new plant. It was easier to just walk away from the existing crap and leave it here for the new owner to deal with disposing of it. Once again, this is an example of how the world’s economic situation is totally fucked up.

I Am Going To Vote

September 25, 2012 // Posted in Future, Living, Money, People, Shopping (Tags: , , , , , , ) |  Comments Off on I Am Going To Vote

I was raised and have always lived by the motto “never pay full price for anything”, as many of us have and this policy is spreading like wildfire all throughout the country. With the economy not getting any better, in fact it is getting worse for all the people that I know and love. It’s so bad that I actually can’t think of a single soul that I know that is doing OK, much less doing all right or doing well, or even getting better mind you. That just really sucks. I’d give anything to have a conversation with someone that is on the positive side, but right they are full of sorrow and heartache all thanks to our government, thank you very much!

This fucking election is really getting folks stirred up. I don’t even go onto Facebook anymore because of all the bull shit and mud slinging that is going on there concerning the election. I have been struggling with deciding who to vote for this November. I am hoping that the up and coming televised debates will help me make a decision by then. Both parties have good and bad in them and as far as I’m concerned they are both full of shit. I hate having to decide which is the lessor of two evils. It just doesn’t seem right to me. But I am going to vote, I promise you that.

Cold & Hot

It is only the beginning of September for God’s sake but it’s so fucking cold here this last week and it seems  that nothing gets me warm. The wind has been blowing hard since yesterday morning. At least there is no snow on the ground, but it sure is a gloomy and depressing Monday. Mondays are hard enough, why the good lord wants me to be even more miserable than usual, I just don’t understand.

I think tonight will be a good time to bake some Toll House cookies and sit my ass down in a hot bubble bath with a cup of hot chocolate and warm cookies. Maybe I’ll post the cookie recipe here when I find it. I hope it is still on the bag of chocolate chips, but if they ever change the bag design and leave off the recipe it would be devastating. But then again I’m sure that I could find it online if I took the time and effort to.  It really pissed me off when you go to find something that has always been available (this Toll House Cookie recipe is a fine example) and puff all of a sudden it’s just gone. Not everyone has a fucking computer that they can drop everything and turn to. I don’t know what the fuck I would do with my computer, both at work and at home.

I Hate Getting Screwed

Am getting tired of the new piece of shit cell phone that I just paid $100 for when I switched cell phone providers last night. I finally got to say Fuck Off to Verizon and switched over to Sprint, planning on saving a good amount of money each month by doing so. But this new phone is really getting on my last nerve.

The first clue that I had gotten screwed was when they switched over my Contact List and it ended up putting each and every one of my 347 Contacts in there twice. It took my weeks to get all the duplicates deleted the fuck out of there and I do believe that I ended up deleting a couple of them that I might regret in the near future. Oh well nothing I can do about that right now. The main problem is that it drops calls left and right, and while I am having a conversation if any part of my face touches any part of the screen – all hell breaks loose. I wish that I never had gotten rid of my flip phone, I never had any issues with butt or face calls. I have a feeling that this phone will be flying out a house or car window before it’s all over with.

Shopping for Kitchen Gear

April 27, 2012 // Posted in Gadgets, Home, Living, Shopping (Tags: , , ) |  Comments Off on Shopping for Kitchen Gear

Okay, it is time for me to do some fucking shopping for my kitchen. When I set up my place, my mom and dad got me lots of stuff, but I never really went out and bought much myself. I have found that I really like to cook and I am in desperate need of stuff to do that. I am going to go buy a bunch of new gadgets as well as pots and pans. I want new pots and pans first though. I also need a small roasting pan so I can make stuff in the oven. I might  even get some corning wear as well. I know that I am going to need some mixing bowls with lids and such. I need some good tupper ware to store food in and so much more.

I have been putting aside money for this for a while now and have save up quite a bit. I didn’t realize just how much until I checked the account I set up for it. Now I can really go hog wild and buy all new stuff. Some of it I can get cheap at Walmart, but others I plan on paying a little more for.
