Have you ever noticed that some of the best songs out there are about having a broken heart? I guess that a heartbreak is a universal thing that everyone experiences at least once in their life. I am jealous of anyone who never goes through a heartbreak. I am sure some people meet the love of their life at a young age, like high school sweethearts, and get married. I wonder what percentage of relationships have that happen? Seems to me that most of us are just stumbling around trying to find out way, looking for true love, and getting out hearts stomped on by the unworthy. Thus, a lot of good songs on the radio.

My girlfriend was telling my about a stoplight party that he went to. It was on a boat up in Chicago, a cruise to nowhere kind of thing. The boat goes up the River, out onto Lake Michigan and then back to port about 3 hours later. The passengers are all college age kids who use it for a private party. The key thing to know is that the plastic solo cups are color coded. Red means they have a serious relationship already, yellow means they are careful and picky, and green means they are available and looking. That is really helpful for shy guys. Too bad all the clubs don’t use the color codes. It would save a lot of embarrassing moments.

I was reading an article about the 4th of July. It had many interesting facts about the 4th of July, most of them I knew about but I did learn a few things that were interesting. The one that I found of interest was that in 1843, the U.S. government set up an account to accept gifts from people wishing to express their patriotism. These days, the money is directed to pay down the debt. In 2009, people sent $3,063,057.05. So far this year they have sent in $2,451,266.91. That is a lot of money that our good people are sending in, wouldn’t you say?

And over my time here on this planet having stuck to this like some sort of honor code I can honestly say it has served me well and will do you the same should you follow the one simple rule.

That one simple rule is very simple do you know what it is? i hope so because if you stick by it then one day my friend you will be a very happy man.
